Page Contents Membership Application
BCAG NSW has about 700 members living throughout the state. Members, with various breast cancer experiences, are mainly women plus a few men. People generally join BCAG NSW after coping with the rigours of treatment - surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. At this point they seek to help improve the experience for those who will inevitably follow. Many members are rural women (about one third) wanting to communicate with other women who understand, and who may wish to advocate for answers to, their particular needs. Younger women also join. Their need is to advocate their causes, contact others facing the challenges that treatments throw up for their age groups, ie: infertility, early menopause, sexuality, etc. Young BCAG NSW operates as special group within the BCAG family.
