Women with Breast Cancer have something to celebrate A decade of providing information and a voice for women
affected by breast cancer:
The Minister for Cancer , the Hon Verity Firth MP launched WOMEN FOR WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER, the Breast Cancer Action Group NSW, 1997-2007, on 12 December at NSW Parliament House. “Ten years ago a group of women with breast cancer decided to do something improve the often distressing “journey” - for themselves and for the thousands of others like them. And they succeeded! On 12 December, they celebrate with a publication about a decade of making sure the needs and ideas of women with breast cancer are heard and acted on”, said Sally Crossing AM, Breast Cancer Action Group NSW Chair since 1997, and metastatic breast cancer survivor. The Breast Cancer Action Group NSW began in 1997 and is proud of making things work better for women, by empowering them through information and advocacy. This publication captures the impact that BCAG NSW has made in this first decade, acknowledges the contributions of many dedicated volunteers and the actions of organisations with whom BCAG NSW has worked. It looks to a future of providing information and a voice for women, and men, affected by breast cancer in NSW. Download the booklet (PDF 1.1MB)
